Carly Pearce Shares The Meaning Behind Matching Tattoos With Her Bandmates

Carly Pearce and her bandmates are now sporting matching tattoos.

The Grammy-winning country star shared a photo with her band — tagging musicians Jon Aanestad, Philip Noel, Philip Noel and Daniel Weston Johnson, plus tattoo artist Rick Couryon Instagram on Thursday evening (August 14). Pearce said “when you live on a bus & play music together, you become a family,” and went on to share the meaning behind the tattoos. “These guys are truly my family & it was so special to get matching tattoos today with them. The horse showing that we are ‘show ponies’ & 6133 being our bus number. If you look close enough, you can see that even [Aanestad] came and hung out even though he isn’t a tattoo guy 🤭♥️🥰🥹”

Pearce performed on Thursday at a show at The Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California. She’s taking the stage on August 20 at The Pinnacle, “Nashville’s newest cutting-edge venue,” when she hosts the ACM Honors for her fifth consecutive year. This year, Pearce teaming up with co-host Russell Dickerson for the first time. The 18th annual show will feature performances by Pearce, Dickerson, Ashley McBryde, Tucker Wetmore and others, all while honoring Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Randy TravisLainey Wilson and more. Pearce has also been part of Little Big Town’s summer headlining tour with Wynonna JuddAshley McBryde and Russell Dickerson as direct support, and Carter Faith and Shelby Lynne opening select shows.
