Simplest Weight Loss Hack, According to a Dietitian

Looking for the easiest way to drop a few pounds?

The simplest way to lose weight would be one that’s so effortless and enjoyable that you don’t even have to think about doing it. And that’s definitely not a complicated diet that has you weighing, measuring, and calculating at every meal.

But registered dietitian nutritionist Andrea Ovardhas figured out what she says is the easiest hack for weight loss - eating two cups of vegetables a day.

It may not be glamorous or exciting but has been proven to work! And the reason that it works is that veggies are low in calories and filled with fiber, so they’ll help you feel full for longer and give you a daily dose of healthy vitamins and minerals. Ovard advises downing at least two cups of vegetables every day until it becomes a habit, like brushing your teeth.

"Vegetables are nutrient-dense but usually very low in calories, which means you can eat A LOT of veggies to help you feel full while consuming very few calories,” she explains. Filling up on them means you won’t have room for a sugary and fatty dessert, according to Ovard, and that’s why the strategy helps with weight loss.
